bahay kubo values giving back to the community, and partners with grassroots NGO, Lokal Lab, based in Siargao, Philippines.
Lokal Lab works with the local community to promote self-sufficiency and sustainability on the island. Lokal Lab achieves this through facilitating impactful and sustainable projects that enhance and utilize the skills of the local community.
bahay kubo’s first mission will be to raise money for an Artisanal Weaving Center in Siargao. This center will help local weavers share the beauty of their handicrafts, train others and sustain their own livelihoods. $1 from each product sold will be donated to this cause. This is the first of many community-focused projects bahay kubo will be contributing to in partnership with this organization.
